Store Controller

Job Requirements                          

  • Grade 12 (Critical)
  • Forklift license (adv)
  • 6 years stores exp in a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Syspro
  • Supervisory Exp

Roles and Responsibilities         


  • Expedite material (outstanding orders)
  • Expedite outside stock
  • Expediate Logistics
  • Expediating requisitions (call offs)

Control of Inventory

  • Capturing of all receipts
  • Ensure quality of receipts are completed (Passing)
  • Ensure al requisitions are completed with Bill of lading / Expense issue
  • Ensure stock audits are completed
  • Planning of Stores & incoming stock
  • Ensure Minimum and maximum level are in order
  • Ensure all stock reports are updated and sent out to relevant persons daily
  • Ensure stocks below 3 days are escalated daily
  • Ensure ME Boards are filled in and maintained daily.
  • Ensure All 5 goldens rules are adhered all times

Time management

  • Ensure staff clocks in and out timeously
  • Ensure daily attendance timesheet is verified daily


  • Ensure Purchase orders or Consumables are created for ( CBC, CAW Coat, Electroplating, Coating Technologies )
  • Created Purchase order must be email to supplier
  • Ensure all pricing is correct on purchase order
  • Three quotation must be given in for new Items for purchasing


  • Ensures all Documents are GRN’d timeously via Syspro
  • Ensure all Documents are Doc Boxed timeously
  • Bill of lading must be done timeously and sent with raw material/Consumables
  • Import documentation and goods captured and tracked
  • All Freight Document captured
  • Ramsay app
  • Ensure All the PPC and PPE requisitions followed

Accounts Queries

  • Ensure all accounts queries are verified and resubmitted to accounts via team


  • Ensure audits/scars are completed timeously
  • Control of 5’s board

Stock takes

  • Ensure all raw materials are captured, passed, and located before stock take
  • Ensure all stock take tickets are written out for all stock codes
  • Ensure stock take input sheet for capturing is completed and submitted
  • Control of M E board
  • Ensuring the cycle counts are being conducted on schedule routines or Candance

Internal matrix customers:

General Duties                                                                                                                                                                                 

Elimination of waste

  • Produce units to the defined output rate.
  • Accurately record all data on the data capture sheet timeously.

Continuous Improvement

  • Make Kaizen activity suggestions to make improvements.

5S and Safety, Health & Environmental

  • Practice and improve 5S in your work area in line with the 5S check sheet.
  • Ensure PPE is worn according to work standards.
  • All incidents need to be reported within the same shift.
  • Perform all safety checks according to the safety standards.
  • Follow the SHEMS procedures.


  • Ensure parts produced meet quality specifications and follow up on non-conforming product procedures.
  • Work cycle must be completed before leaving work.


  • Pack parts as per the packing instruction and perform work according to the set standards.
  • Raise problems and concerns to the Shift leader timeously.


  • Responsible for own personal attendance to ensure it is 98% on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure all information on timesheets are accurate and submit to the Manager.

People development

  • Follow HR Policies & Procedures. Responsible for own personal development.


  • Report on production performance. Carry out any reasonable instructions.”
