Electrician

Department: Ramsay Engineering

Main purpose:

The purpose of this role  is to maintain and keep the electrical reticulation  and services in good order. To perform any alterations to the electrical supply  or upgrade  machinery as required. To undertake any new  projects when required. To ensure the supply of electricity is safe and complies with regulations.

 Main Objectives:

  • Ensure all work orders are completed .
  • Ensure all work is carried out to an acceptable standard ISO 14001.
  • Ensure all work is performed to meet the code of conduct.
  • Ensure all subordinates conform to all safety requirements .
  • Ensure all materials required are ordered in time and suppled correctly as per  the order.
  • Ensure good time keeping and discipline within the relevant team.

 Internal matrix customers:

  • All Ramsay Members .

Internal Customers:

  • Shift Leader
  • Production
  • Managers

Job Specifications

Technical skills and specialist knowledge:

  • Pannel building.
  • Fault finding on plant and equipment.
  • Testing of electric motors.
  • Up grading of electrical equipment.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to read electrical drawings.

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience  in the relevant trade.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (Critical)
  • Forklift license (advantage)
  • Qualified artisan.
