Ramsay Engineering would like to offer the opportunity to all employees who meet the requirements for the position that is available to apply.
Main purpose:
Produce units at the defined output rate, accurately record all data on the data capture sheet in a timely manner, load and unload components and materials, inspect and operate the machine to the required standard, and use gauges to set the machine correctly.
Job Objectives:
Continuous Improvement
- Raise problems & concerns to the Shift Leader upon identification.
5S and Safety, Health & Environmental
- Practice and improve 5S in your work area in line with the 5S check sheet.
- Ensure PPE is worn according to work standards.
- Ensure all incidents are reported within the same shift. All safety checks are performed according to the safety standard.
- Follow the SHEMS procedure.
Quality
- Ensure parts produced meet quality specifications and follow up on non-conforming product procedures.
- Work cycle must be completed before leaving work.
Delivery
- Pack parts as per the packing instruction and perform work according to the set standards.
- Raise problems and concerns to the Shift Leader timeously.
Attendance
- Responsible for own personal attendance to ensure it is 98% on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure all information on timesheets are accurate and signed to verify that the information submitted is correct.
General
- Report on production performance.
- Carry out any reasonable instruction
- Follow HR Policies and procedures
- Responsible for own personal development.

Requirements:
Technical skills and specialist knowledge:
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to work within a team
- Strong numeracy and English literacy
- Must have an understanding of production processes
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
Experience:
Experience in a manufacturing environment (advantageous)
2 years’ experience in a similar field/industry
